It is certainly a lyric that I have thought about for years. Or not.

As a veteran of the United States Navy, and at present in the position of acting Commander of my local American Legion, I was inspired by the men and women of this wonderful organization to create an image celebrating, in my opinion, the most important task assigned to us, the Honor Guard. American Legion designates an Honor Guard as a unit that provides funeral and/or graveside ceremonies in conjunction with veteran events and ceremonies honoring America. We are a close knit group of veterans from all eras and all branches of service. I’m extremely proud to call each of them, Comrade.

When I was a youngster, I loved spinach and did not care much for ice cream. Weird? I was told, yes. There were, and are, many things that I like that most people dislike. The smell of skunk and low tide, Grateful Dead feedback, Vegemite and scheduled trips to the dentist… MY dentist!

Besides the fact that his staff are top-shelf professionals and the type of people that I want to hang out with, it is the Nitrous Oxide that keeps me coming back. Crank it up and please, go easy on the O2!
